Mrs. Jones had lived in Florence for 75 years at the time of this interview. She describes how it was as a child and growing up giving details about the businesses that were in town. She was also a teacher at Florence elementary for 27 years where she taught 4th and 6th grades. Her husband was Rector Jones who was a principal and Superintendent of Schools. Together they also built some early subdivisions in Florence. She talks about the impact of Florence Mall and the interstate on the town of Florence. She also tells about the rewards of teaching.
