Late 19th century daybook kept by Margaret Thomas Artz, founder of the C. Burr Artz Library,now the central branch of Frederick County Public Libraries. Includes handwritten recipes, household and medical tips, and newspaper clippings. Newspaper clippings include Chicago real estate transactions and a Reminiscence of Libby Prison. Margaret Artz, at the time of her death a Chicago resident, established the C. Burr Artz Library in her hometown of Frederick, Maryland in honor of her husband C. Burr Artz. The day book is undated.
